The Highlighter That Has Got Everyone Shook
Posted on 18 January 2017
Jeffree first launched Jeffree Star Cosmetics with the most intense and unique shades of liquid-to-matte lipsticks that were promised to be kiss-proof. The formula and colours of his lipsticks were an instant hit, and when when he launched another product, the Skin Frost highlighters, we have to admit we were a little worried it wouldn't match up to his amazing liquid lipsticks but we were more than sold when we tried it ourselves.
The Skin Frost highlighters come in the most intense, unique colours which is no surprise there. While most skin highlighters come in either light or warm flesh-tone shades, Jeffree's highlighter is anything but. His gorgeous golden highlighter (appropriately named King Tut), is a true gold highlighter. A rich and blinding bronzey gold shade that can be used not only on the face, but also on the eyes as an eyeshadow.
Because of the bold colours, on first look, one might think that these highlighters are only suited for certain skin tones. While it may be true for is lighter highlighters, Blushboss has brought in his two highlighters, King Tut and Princess Cut, that are suited for light, medium and dark skin.
You need to see the swatches to believe it - hot details below! ↓

Jessica Anne reviews and swatches the Jeffree Star Skin Frost highlighters in the shades King Tut and Peach Goddess. Here's what she has to say about them:
"(King Tut) is a true gold. It's literally so beautiful"
"I am pretty fair and I still can get away with this highlight...so it's not the palest, I'm more of a yellow undertone. So I think that's why this looks good on me even though I'm still fair, but if you're the lighter shade of foundation, this might go better for you on top of a blush or even as an eyeshadow"
"You can put if over your bronzer, you can put it all over your body. There's a lot you can do with these so it's a great option
"(Peach Goddess) is definitely more of a pinky, peachy, gold-y highlight and they're both beautiful"
"(Peach Goddess) still has the gold undertone in it which I love, I think it makes it more wearable for an everyday person"
She also wears both King Tut and Peach Goddess as eyeshadow on her eyelids.

Bunny, aka Grav3yard girl on her YouTube channel, swatches the Jeffree Star Skin Frost highlighters on her hands and cheeks. Here's what she has to say about them:
"They are all magical, I have swatched them all. First of all, can we just look at the size of this? Seriously, I feel like it's the size of my face. It's the size of my entire hand"
|| SKIN FROST
"This highlighter is so huge. Jeffree mentioned this a lot when he was talking about his product, that his highlighters are basically the biggest highlighters on the market that you can find"
"It's ridiculous how big this highlighter is from Jeffree Star and I definitely appreciate that he gave us so much product"
"It has a really huge mirror. I love this so much. I basically take this product with me every single time when I go out...it's nice to have a mirror, like a compact mirror, and I really like this one because it's huge and also because it's a highlighter"
ON COLOUR, PIGMENTATION AND SKIN TONES
"It's like pure, gold, bronze, goddess heaven"
"This highlighter is gorgeous if you have tan or bronze skin. If you have a dark pigment to your skin, it just looks very natural and flattering on your skin tone. Of course, this highlighter is going to be way more bronze and gold, and just gorgeous if you are of a lighter skin tone. If you're more fair, it will look beautiful on your skin"
Tavao applies the highlighter on its own with a dry brush, with just a single swipe, to reveal a beautiful, natural glow. Then, he dampens his brush with Mac Fix+ to reveal high intensity and highly pigmented shine with just a single layer on his brush.
