Blusher How To

Posted on 13 August 2014

The Blusher How To is a guide about finding the best blush colors for your skin tone.

This is a picture cover for a blog post about choosing the right blusher shade for all skin tones.

Blushes are an essential part of our makeup routine. Which means wherever you are, whether it's winter, summer, spring or autumn, there's definitely a shade that could brighten up the whole look. With the right tools, shade, and application, you will be looking healthy, glowing, and flushed. Fret not, never let the sea of pinks, corals, reds, and mauves intimidate you the next time you purchase a blush online, or in a physical store. Here, we give you suggestions for all skin tones.

Hello, fair-skinned ladies. You know the deal when it comes to finding blushes. There's always that one blush that looks perfect in the pan but when applied, it looks too intense, and if you pick something that's twice as deep as your skin colour, it may look slightly muddy and that is not a cute look. When finding the right shade for your skin tone, look for light shades such as light pinks and corals. These shades, with a tinge of shimmer, will provide a natural flush to your cheeks in an instant!

WE RECOMMEND:

Lucky for you medium skinned babes, you wouldn't have a problem finding the perfect blush shades. Why? Because your options are endless! Never be afraid to experiment with bright shades. What might look scary in the pan may not look as scary when you apply it to the cheeks. Think fuscia, orange and bright pinks! Dab a little of the product on your favourite blush brush, tap off the excess and apply it to the apples of your cheeks.

And lastly, the dark skinned babes. Just like medium skin tones, you are able to pull off bright shades too! Reds, oranges and mauves are perfect. Not only do they flatter your skin tone, but it will give the cheekbones much more definition. Always opt out pale, muted shades because it may appear washed out to the skin.
